Two lively cats, a climbing tree and chirping sparrows—historical Korean animal painting adapted into a playful front graphic. THE ORIGINAL ART & ITS STORY Byeon Sang-byeok, an eighteenth-century Joseon court painter, created Sparrows and Cats (Myojakdo). Known for his portraits and especially his cats and chickens, he earned a nickname associated with painting cats. The National Museum of Korea describes the original’s lifelike pair of cats and urgently chirping sparrows, painted with delicate strokes against a boldly brushed old tree sprouting fresh leaves. This version adapts those animals and a shorter section of tree for a shirt. SHIRT OPTIONS & FIT
